A \u201cMousse\u201d (\u201cmousse\u201d is French for foam), in simple terms, is a solid foam inner tube. French tire company, Michelin, originally introduced the product to the off road motorcycle market in 1984. While several companies over the years have developed various mousse formulas, performance and longevity of the product may vary according to its precise composition. For this reason, not all mousses have equal attributes and performance capabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pros and cons<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Generally, the most well-known and significant benefit of using a mousse is that it does not go flat. Yet, this product is also known to have several downsides, such as a slow rebound action or non-progressive effect in their rideability. Experts in the industry often refer to this effect as a \u201cDEAD\u201d feel. This sense of looseness or instability can affect motorcycle manueverability and traction applications. This is a disadvantage that has to be tolerated as they are not adjustable (as pneumatic systems or inner tubes), although they do adjust eventually themselves as a result of wear and tear. As a solid foam unit, mousses are generally heavier than most tubes, and the \u201cdead\u201d feeling mentioned only adds to this sense of heaviness. Airmousse will never leave you stuck with a flat! Airmousse for motocross and enduro does not need a break in period and has been designed and tested to perform consistently in temperature ranges from 30-100+ degrees.  The bicycle mousse can be used over 300h before its time to replace the mousse with a new one. Technology<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Airmousse for motocross and enduro is made of an incredibly tough micro-matrix of proprietary elastomers which increases durability and allow the mousse to last for a long time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Material<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Contains a high concentration of nitrogen which gives it a much plusher pneumatic (air) feel, elimination the \u201cdead feel\u201d.  The nitrogen formula gives the Airmousse a low-pressure predictable ride, resistance to impacts and increased bump absorption. The Airmousse compounds allow a more lively, progressive ride elimination deflection and providing a lighter feel in motion.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Product attributes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

All our products are developed for the same high performance but differ between motocross\/enduro and bikes. Our motocross\/enduro mousse is installed together with silicone to reduce friction while riding. The mousse for bicycles is not mounted with silicone but fills 80% of the tire and the rest is filled with air as desired. The bike mousse is also mounted with sealant.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n
